Manarola, Italy  -  The Cinque Terre

Hiking along the cliffs and terraced vineyards overlooking the Ligurian Sea in northern Italy was one my all time favorite travel adventures.  Although you can't go wrong in any of the other four villages ... Corniglia, Vernazza, Monterosso al Mare, or Riomaggiore ... I think the best spot along the route in the Parco Nazionale delle Cinque Terre leads to Manarola.  Be sure to stop for lunch and fresh bruschetta and this amazing view from the cafe, Nessun Dorma, above the village.
